Here is my interview with Kavya who loves her hobby, photography. She is a teenager and loves what she is doing. Here is her journey as a photographer. Interviewer: Hey Kavya! I have a couple of questions for you. Let's talk about your journey as a photographer. When was the first time you started photography? Interviewee: Actually photography something that I had been doing before joining my current school. It was not professionally done but it was for my hobby. I was doing photography for three years and it clicked a lot of nature pictures and we used to have a collection. After I joined my current school, I started photography in a more professional way. Interviewer: Start out as a hobby and then making it a passion. That is great! What was your first achievement as a photographer? Interviewee: I had quite a few. The point of photography is to get a good picture. An achievement was when I joined this community called "Your Shot" which is a photographers community. I got a very good comment on my picture by a really renowned photographer. This is the one thing I would really value. Interviewer: Getting such a good comment from a renowned photographer is something every photographer would want to look forward to. Where and how do you post your pictures? Interviewee: I started posting on the "Your Shot" community. This helped me get into Instagram as they said their community is going to get shifted to Instagram. This is when it struck me that I could use Instagram as it is very popular. Interviewer: Great! What is your photography style? Like a lot of photographers have. Interviewee: I don't have a particular style but what I usually do for my feed is nature photography and portraits. I like clicking and posting a lot of animal pictures as I like how they turn out. I want to try out fashion photography also. Interviewer: Those pictures are really nice Kavya! Now that you like photography a lot or you have learned it. What are your thoughts on mentoring someone? Interviewee: I am really that knowledged with photography that I start mentoring but yes I did mentor a third-grade kid and it turned out well. Her photography improved after I taught her the basics. Interviewer: Then that makes you a good mentor. A lot of photographers collaborate. Have you collaborated with other photographers? Interviewee: Yes, I have collaborated my friends brand which gave me an exposure to fashion photography. I also collaborated with Akshara for her graphic designing T-shirts and of course you for modelling. Interviewer: Yes, so how has photography helped you? Interviewee: Photography has helped me see the smallest details and beauty in everything. Every day is different with photography. Every picture is different and has a different story. As the day changes the picture changes and so does the emotion. Interviewer: That is a deep yet detailed answer. On that note here is the last question. Where do you see yourself in the future of photography? Interviewee: I don't have a fixed future but my goal, for now, would be to create a portfolio of my own and send them to companies and be featured on National Geography which would get me a good recommendation that I am a good photographer. Interviewer: Best of luck for that! I know you are going to get into national geography. Looking at your pictures, they are so eye-catching. This is indeed a really marvelous journey. Thank you, Kavya.

Interviewee: Thank you, Nirmayee.
