Noisy noise.

I usually imagine myself in a calm place, sipping my coffee on a windy morning. You may think that can be possible but no, I live in Mumbai. People often call it the city of dreams but my dream was not in Mumbai. Mumbai was a beauty in itself. I prefer calm areas where I can sit down, write peacefully and forget the reality. It's simply not possible for me in Mumbai.
It was a Monday morning and the usual routine had started. The heavy thumping of people's feet, the raspy sound of the continuous honking cars. Recently the construction of a new building was added to this list. This is my everyday alarm, and trust me it never disappoints. I woke up that day and calmly sipped my coffee. I am usually excited for every day but the past week was very busy.
I opened my book and planned the day ahead. I started writing down yesterday's reflection. I freshened up and got ready for the day. I cooked my food and I was ready to leave when suddenly the doorbell rang. I was too tired to start a conversation with anyone. Right now, my only goal was to leave my house.
The doorbell was still ringing and I had to open it. A woman with traditional Indian Sari entered and pushed and squeezed me by the door. She was my neighbour and stayed in front of me. I was wondering why she was here. She wore a light pink sari with a red bindi. I shot a smiling look at her and so did she. I greeted her with a Namaste. She made herself comfortable on the sofa and I knew that she was not going to leave so soon. I asked her for a cup of tea and she happily agreed. Now I had to make tea also.
the aroma of tea spread throughout the hall. I sat down when she started talking about the neighbouring aunties and boys my age. I don't remember details of it, but it was going to get worse. After two hours of continuous blabbering, I was not in a state to even smile. I guided her to the door. As soon as she left, I slept.
Fast forward to the next morning. YES, I slept for so many hours. Today I had a fresh mind so I planned to start my new story. I clicked my pen and as soon as I wrote the title, I heard a creak and a scream. I rushed to check out what happened. A new family had shifted beside me. I greeted them happily. After that, I was very busy with my work.
The day was about to end and flung myself to the bed but a sudden noise of a cry woke me up. It was the house beside me and yes the whole night one of it's kind. This continued till finally, the family planned to move to another apartment.
